We were all together again

We got news this morning they were upgrading us to "the suite". Reserved for those who will be here awhile and since Clara is the highest risk patient on the floor at this time we got to move in. Yipee?! Attached to the regular room there is a sort of living room with some of the comforts of home. It was perfect timing since the crew arrived and could help us move in.

The boys, mainly Carson, got right to work with the package of pipe cleaners. As I look at these pictures I am trying to figure out why Carson will wear these pipe cleaner glasses for three hours at the hospital, but refuses to wear his REAL glasses at home or school...

Carson was so proud of the cancer ribbon he made.

Fu manchu while eating.

Carson created this. I love 8 year olds.

I think the main reason they like to come here is to roll around on the Plasma cars. Somehow I missed getting a photo of Kate, she was a bit elusive today.

Clara didn't want to sit up, but I still wanted a family picture.

I just have to say all I really wanted to do today was pack my family up in the Suburban and go home with them. I want to go back to doing their laundry, fixing their meals, waking them up in the morning and kissing them good night. I don't want Clara to hurt anymore. I want her to run, and jump and play instead of being confined and hooked up to IV's and monitors.

But, it is all going to take time and patience. Thank goodness that the four children I am away from are so resilient! It's such a blessing and does make it easier that instead of clinging to my leg they're bolting to the door. This too shall pass and we will all be together again.

The past couple of days have been difficult for Clara. More good days are just around the corner, I have to keep reminding myself. She really is being so strong and putting up a fight! Thank you for all of the prayers...they are being heard and answered in many ways we don't even realize.

After Will's first round of chemo we made a midnight drive back down to Primarys because of a fever. He felt awful, and didn't move or do anything for several days. Those nadir periods are rough. She'll perk up soon. I love your family picture and your new suite! You are always in my prayers.

Yay for the sweet suite! Love your crazy family. I am laughing at the elusive comment about Kate because after seeing here there in action, I know exactly what you mean! Fight on Clara!

Yay, I'm so glad you finally got to "move in" to the suite! I was hoping they had something like that for you! And yes, like I said before, if any kids can handle this situation it's your kids! Love you guys so much!

I think those pipe cleaner glasses are so cool! Maybe if you just pop his real lenses into them, he'll wear them at home? Okay, probably not ;)

I'm happy that they have moved you two into the suite. Even if that means you'll be there for a while. It sounds like it will be a great place for your family to be when you're all together.

You are doing an amazing job. Your faith inspires me every single day. Thank you for sharing this journey. We love your family and are still praying for all of you.

P.S.
Baden's smile is AWESOME!

That's awesome you got that suite! It is so nice for your family, I'm sure.

I'm sure all the traveling back and forth for Brian & the kids, and you staying there full-time is very taxing, but you all are doing a fantastic job. You guys are amazing, you know that?! Hang in there and you guys are constantly in our thoughts and prayers...

I'm so glad you can have a more "comfortable" (as comfortable as being away from home can be) place to stay. Hang in there, it's a good fight :)

P.S. Really enjoyed having Carson in class today. He's such a great kid.

I mentioned your sweet Clara in my ward today in OR. I'm feeling the strength in numbers for your family. It's very touching. We are all cheering for Clara, praying for Clara, fasting for Clara, and thinking of Clara and your family. You are doing great!
