Holding on

Clara is still holding on, but with less energy than she has had in the last month and a half. We wish she could just let go and be free. She is peaceful though and the miracle of modern medicine is keeping her comfortable, but a part of her is missing and we hope she will soon be whole again. In a rare moment today when she was coherent I told her, "It is okay, you can go to heaven, we will be all right." She whispered, "Not yet, I want to stay here with you guys."

The wisdom in her soul is greater than I could ever hope to understand in this life. She will go when she is ready. Meanwhile, our family is blessed by the love, support and charity of so many. We are learning more and more what we can do and need to do to be more Christlike by the examples all around us. Thank you, thank you a million times over.

We send you our love and prayers at this difficult time. You know our walk, we feel your trial. I don't know much, but I do know that in the silencing of the laugh, the twinkling eyes, the moments missed like prom, leaving primary for YW, seeing your baby girl joined in eternal band to a worthy young man; comes the ultimate joy and deeper, greater FAITH than you otherwise would have had. While I am sorry and sad for you on the human level, I rejoice for you on the spiritual level of having one so pure, so wonderful her calling and election was made sure. Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted. We love you guys. Dan & Val

I am so happy she is holding on to her earthly time with her eternal family. She is a true angel with great knowledge of the gospel. These children are so wise. And you are an amazing mom, with strength beyond your capacity to stand. Hold on to these moments Natasha, you will miss them in a crazy kind of way. I promise. You all are in my prayers and thoughts constantly.

I don't know your family and you don't know mine. I don't even know how I came across your blog or who led me to it. I have been following your blog for over a year now. The tears are flowing as the time draws closer. She will indeed be whole again and will be with her heavenly father. She seems like such a sweetheart. Thank you for the updates. Although they are hard to read, It is nice to feel connected and hopefully it helps you to know that we are all thinking of you and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all and please give Clara and the rest of the family hugs from the Millers from Beaverton, Oregon.

Your family is a live example of what fighting the good fight of Faith really is and what it takes. Prayers to each of you, hold one another, embrace the moments. Clara has a spirit that will last a lifetime.

I have read all the other comments and there's nothing more that I can add except. . . The example your family has set for all of us makes me so very proud to be a Woodward too. You have pioneered a trail for us to emulate and follow and I thank you so much for that. I think Clara is just waiting for the Savior to break away from his busy life to pick her up. Once she sees Him she we eagerly run into his arms! Hold on to every precious minute until he gets there! Love & Prayers, Gloria
