Gone swimmin'.

We've got 10 days and counting till school starts. So that means ten days to take advantage of no schedule (my personal favorite), warm temps, late mornings, playing and pool time. Then I have to release my oldest two out to the world and hope that everything I've taught them this summer doesn't come unraveled.

I'm not ready. Are you?

i don't even have school kids, and i'm still not ready. summer has gone too quickly. but i do wish it would be 90 instead of 100--my feet would appreciate it:)

I am ready in some ways, but not in others... Colton is so ready to go to school... I am gonna miss that little stinker in the mornings. I just hope that he starts off good at his first adventure in the scarey world out there...

NO!!!! It has snuck up WAY too fast. Although, I freak out whenever I think about it, but when I think of three days a week in solitary bliss, I get a little giddy.

We are also cramming in some serious last-minute swimming this week.

My kids are past ready, so I'm frantically trying to get ready too. We tried to get a swimming night in last night for FHE, but the rain had other plans for us.

Yes and no. Are your kids going to Livingston again this year!?

I'm mixed...I LOVE my late mornings this summer - but I'm soooo looking forward to some quiet time (and possibly a house that will stay clean for more than an hour). But I'm a little nervous too about releasing them into the "real world."

I'm super excited about school starting for Elizabeth, mostly because I've been talking it up all summer. We are going to walk her to school. It's a half mile away, so I'll get a two mile walk everyday. That's the goal anyway. I have to do something and I really don't want to change my diet..... She did express some worry a couple of days ago. I asked her what she was worried about and she said that she was afraid that people would call her a bully. I told her that she would just be nice to people and they probably wouldn't and that Dad can give her a father's blessing and she said, Thanks mom. Like I did it all. I think she'll do just fine.
I loved school and even asked for extra work for the summer in Elementary school and made my siblings play school with me as the teacher.
