Everything is going to be okay.

Words have failed me as I have tried a few times to start a post the last couple of weeks. It's been two weeks since we learned for certain that Clara's cancer came back and was spreading. It all happened so quickly. Overnight, it seems. One day she is  prancing around, riding her bike, jumping on the trampoline and the next day she's in pain and wants to sleep all day.

There is no more fighting. She has already fought the good fight and in the words of our sweet Clara herself, "Heaven is too far away, I want Jesus to pick me up." At the tender age of three years old, she is wise beyond her years and has always known what she wants. The peace we feel surpasses our understanding, but is undeniable. This is the right thing to do and we will live looking forward to our heavenly reunion all the days of our lives.

Thank you for your love, kindness and generosity as we have waded through this trial, your prayers most certainly have sustained us. The miracle we were blessed with, having 8 months of being together at home with a happy and full of life Clara has been better than we could have hoped. We can't wait to share eternity together.

Everything is going to be okay.

You are the bravest person I know. I can only hope that when I have to face something like this, that I can be as strong as you... Hugs!

I don't know Clara, but have heard about her struggles from many people and she has been the topic of conversation more than once in my family. I can't imagine how hard the "see you later" is going to be with Clara, I really can't. All I know is everyone has told me how strong your family is and how loving- and I know you will all be brave. Thinking of you and your family!

We continue to think of you and your family. You are always in our hearts and thoughts. Having to go through this is unfathomable for me, but I take great comfort in knowing forever families exist.

Natasha,
My heart breaks for your family. As I came across your post tonight the flood gates opened. You are an amazing family and have been so strong through everything. I know your Faith has helped keep you strong through all of this. Please know that we are praying for peace and comfort for Clara. She is a beautiful baby girl inside and out and IS very wise for her age. Somehow going through childhood cancer does that to our children. It forces them to grow up beyond their years. Watching videos of her I continue to shed tears. I will hold Clara and your family close to my heart and in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that Clara's cancer is back. As awful as this sounds, I have thoughts nearly every day about what we will do if we get put in that same situation, and I've had the same thought of "everything is going to be okay."

I know that we have never met, but my heart truly aches for you and your family. I'm so glad that I have been able to "meet" Clara through this blog and see what an amazing little girl she is and what an amazing family she has.

All I can say right now is that we love you and your family. I can't imagine how hard this is but I do know that Lord will help you through it. I hope Clara is not in pain and that the pain you are feeling will not be too much to bare. You are in my prayers daily.

Natasha, I dont personally know you or Clara but have recently met Brian. I have heard so much about your wonderful family from friends. We are neighbors now and I just wanted to say that I pray for that sweet girl everyday as I drive by. It has filled my heart to see her having some fun with the neighborhood kids. I wish you much love and peace.
