Delegating

*Not pictured: Mother locking children outside 6 times in the last two days, 3 year old meltdowns, 29 year old meltdowns, games of keep away, water hoses, puddles, lots of dirty clothes, snacks and more snacks, mother repenting and realizing her spiritual reservoir needs to be a little higher during the months of June, July and August.

What?! They're not wearing their favorite P-High t-shirts? I'm shocked!

I love when you have stories about the kids! I feel your pain :) In fact, today I called every church in the area to find out vacation bible school schedules! And yes, as you menioned....we all resort to "ok, it's outside time"!

I hear ya. Oh my gosh, I am so missing school. Summer vacation has doubled the kids I have at home and all they do is FIGHT!! Two days into it and I was seriously ready to have a breakdown. I can't wait for swimming lessons to start because this staying home all day every day is going to send me to the loony bin.

My turn begins next week! EEEEk! I tried to write up a summer routine with the girls tonight and Kennon couldn't believe that I was actually planning on working with them a couple hours a day and only letting them sleep till 8.
Summer is such an adjustment! But wait a min. Didnt you just confess how excited you were to have all of them home for summer? I was feeling like a terrible mom when I read that. I feel so much better now.

You know what they say, "ignorance is bliss"... I think though you are right. We need some kind of routine, I'm working on that tonight. It will include 1 hour of "down time", hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil :)

It's been a little bit of a challenge here too. Ok, a big challenge.

That is why I love year round school. Peyton only has 4 1/2 weeks off. That will fly by and then she will be back to school. Now that is what I call a great summer break. Plus, I only have 2 kids which makes the situation a lot easier. You are a much stronger woman than I am!

Look at your boys...can you come train mine? They are sooooo cute! I really miss seeing them (and hearing them sing) at church. I totally feel your pain though. I seriously think I might lose it this summer and it's just started. I think I'm just going to have to fill our days with activities. Time spent at home with nothing planned = fighting, messes, destruction, mom pulling her hair out, etc. at our house.

Hey--it's been a while since I've seen you. I guess we keep picking different family get-togethers to attend. . . we'll have to remedy that soon. I want to see your little Kate (not that the boys aren't also darling, but let's face it, she really is the cutest)

Um, I have a question for you on our blog--I'm really looking forward to your input!

Hope all is well.
