Clara's birthday tribute

Clara on her birthday last year.

I have been silent on this blog for a long time and I don't know if I will ever feel up to posting much again, but I wanted to share this video my sister put together for Clara's birthday on Saturday. It is a perfectly happy and sad compilation of her short life. As many know it doesn't get any easier, every minute of every day she is missed. We can't wait to hold her in our arms again someday. I don't know if we will ever be able to let go.

We planted a little butterfly garden on Saturday to memorialize Clara and remind us each Spring and Summer of new life. When we finished a little white butterfly flew around us and landed. A little reminder that she is always with us. Amazing.

Natasha- That video is beautiful. Tears are streaming down my face as I watched it and as I type this. I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose a child and I wish so badly that you didn't have to deal with the pain and loneliness of missing her. I think about you and your family often and I hope you know how much I love you guys. My thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

Thank you for sharing something so special with us all. I cannot fathom how your heart must hurt each day without her in your arms. I am truly grateful for that sweet butterfly. What a precious reminder that she is here with you. I hope you have many more moments like that, to lift you up and put a smile in your heart. I think of you often and try to be better and appreciate each moment of my life a little more, all because of Clara.
