Clara's first time swinging away on this very un-February sunshiny day was a success.

Three cheers for sunshine!  

Because tomorrow we won't be as fortunate.  

Just another reason to live in the moment I suppose.

 

Tonight I read a talk, "Grow Up Unto the Lord" by Kathleen H. Hughes.  It is excellent.  Good reminders for me.  This part really jumped out at me:

We must be on guard so that we do not “become for ourselves.” That’s an interesting phrase. It implies to me that they looked to themselves first and indulged desires that prophets had warned them to avoid. They yielded to Satan’s enticements and allures. At some point in our lives, each of us must make the choice to embrace our faith or to “dwindle in unbelief” or to “wilfully rebel against the gospel of Christ” (4 Nephi 1:38).

 This afternoon I couldn't find Kate anywhere in the house.  I opened the front door and lo and behold there she was.  In her princess get-up trying to haul rocks in her trike.  I guess this makes her girlie-girl who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.

the 8 o'clock hour every single night when these two actually play together.  No crying, no hitting, not fighting.  Just bliss.  The unfortunate part is they wait till EIGHT to do it!

my Aunt Thomasene.

She reached the 60 year old milestone today you know.  Aunt Thomasene is one in a million.  Quite a feat that she makes it to all her nephews' and nieces' graduations, weddings, mission comings and goings, baptisms and remembers the birthdays and anniversaries of all her family.  She recently even made my boys a PVC pipe marshmallow gun, just because.  How cool is that?
