A Recipe
I'm kicking off the cool Fall weather with a favorite recipe which happens to the best pumpkin bars I've ever had. A friend from Arizona was kind enough to share this recipe with me. Absolutely delectable.
Pumpkin Spice Bars
2 cups flour
1 cup oil/applesauce (I go for the oil)
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
Mix together and pour into a greased 11x17 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Cool and frost. (Even better frozen!)
Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter
8 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
Chandler tried to convince me to let him have some for breakfast. I said no, but from the looks of the pan I think he did anyway I guess they complement apple spice oatmeal fairly well.

I'll be baking these tomorrow. Thank you for sharing! :)
What a cute new blog page. Sounds so, so good. Thanks for the recipe.
I am sure these are delicious because like I always tell you, you are the best cook I know. I will definitely try these.
I was looking for a Pumpkin Bars recipe last week. Too bad I didn't look here first. They look delicious! Well, at least I know where to look next time I'm in the mood for Pumpkin Bars!
OH MY GOODNESS! Those sound and look delicious. I'll just have to figure out how many Weight Watchers points they are before I get carried away with them.
